Ever since I launched BFF, I had a goal of making myself accountable for time with friends on an ongoing basis. Part of my life balance has been making sure all of my pillars are strong so that if one falls the others are strong to continue holding up the structure.
When I first created it, I did happy hours each week. It was so much effing fun. It forced me out of my comfort zone of staying in and being an introvert. It pushed me to meet new People in a new city and make new friends. This year we wanted to try something new. Getting everyone together for a reoccurring celebration once a month to celebrate all of our members birthdays that month. Brunch celebrations are a new way for us to bring everyone together on a regular basis that’s not as much pressure to commit to. March 2018 was our first one this year and it was such a fun turnout. Thanks to the support of the women in the group we were all able to work togehter and coordinate an awesome Sunday with some down to earth much needed time to hang out, bond and meet new members. Major shoutout to Hilary for bringing the idea together and figuring out everyone’s birthdays. Shout out to April for figuring out where we could do it and making sure we accommodated everyone who wanted to come. It was so much fun. I hope we get to continue to do them monthly or regularly based on Astro signs. If you’re interested in becoming a member or have ideas for an upcoming brunch or get together let us know in the comments. Happy Birthday April & Inna! This kind of feminism really is the only true kind of feminism, but has to exist as a separate entity to combat "white feminism", TERFS, and SWERFs, who try to exclude or ignore groups of women in their idea of equality. Intersectional feminism also includes individuals of non-binary genders.
